How to Use the Same Gamertag on Two Xbox 360s

Do you have two Xbox 360s in the house, and wish that you could use the same Gamertag on one or the other? Want to be able to log into Xbox Live with your Gamertag when you are over at a friend’s house or using someone else’s system on the go? There is an easy way that you can share Gamertags between Xbox 360s – by doing this you can log onto Xbox Live normally, access your friends list and work on your achievements no matter what Xbox you're playing on!
The basic way to use a Gamertag on a different Xbox 360 is to go through the Xbox Live blade on the Xbox 360 dashboard, choose the “recover Gamertag” option, and fill out your Gamertag email address and password which will make the Xbox 360 you are currently playing on, the official Xbox 360 for using that Gamertag. The system is set up to make it so that a Gamertag is normally only associated with one particular Xbox 360.
An even easier way that you can use your Gamertag on a variety of systems (especially if you're lucky enough to have two machines in the same house) is to simply copy the Gamertag info from the hard drive of your Xbox 360 at home onto a memory card, take it with you, and put the files on the hard drive of whatever Xbox 360 you are currently playing.
To do this, go through the System blade on the Xbox 360 dashboard. Choose the memory menu, then the hard drive, and then go to the Gamertag directory. From here you can easily copy your Gamertags to a plugged in USB memory card. Just do the opposite process to copy files onto a different Xbox 360 and you can use the same Gamertag files on any Xbox 360 that you want without having to spend time and identify yourself for the Gamertag recovery process!
